As organ transplants are more and more widely accepted throughout the world, people coin a new phrase “personality transplants”. Many people may be fearful of this new method because they connect it with the horrible and dangerous scene when an organ transplant operation takes place. However, in my perspective, personality transplants are not that terrible, and they are just motivations for you to move on to become a better person.
Personality transplants are not like operations done to transplant organs, they are just psychological changes that take place in your mind and heart. Do you think it possible to do personality transplants through medical operations done by doctors who use a lot of tools and machines to help you? Yeah, it might be true, but it is psychological doctors not surgeons. As a result, they will not let you bleed any blood, and you will feel relaxed and not painful any longer. They will only talk with you patiently and point out the directions for you to move on.
Personality transplants are very different from organ transplants, for they are just figurative sayings for incentives. If a person claims that she would like to have a personality transplant to become more ambitious, it is indeed the fact that she makes a decision to become more ambitious. That is to say, she can transplant that kind of personality by her own, and this vivid saying is just her incentive.
In a word, I think personality transplants are not unacceptable because they are not blooded or dangerous. They are just inner desires to help you to become better people. Personality transplants are hard operations that you can do it by yourself only if you have made up your mind to do so.

I think we have different understanding of personality transplants. You say personality transplants are that people improve themselves by psychological ways rather than surgeons. I think it is determined by genes. People who want to have personality transplants must have surgeons to change their genes and then change their personality. In that way, they are not themselves. However, if it is just like what you have said, without surgeons, just in psychological ways, I think more people will accept it, including me.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds fantastic to do a personality transplant. however, from my point of view, not all people would like to accept it. the world would disorder if people could change their personality with their own will.
