Nowadays, more and more people throughout Asia are choosing to watch Korean movies, listen to Korean popular music, follow Korean soap operas, and even travel to Korea to visit sites they have seen in their favorite Korean dramas. Korean popular culture has become one of the most beloved pop cultures among Asian fans over the last 10 years.
The Korean Wave is always a hot topic of debate and doubts. Many people believe that it will not remain its popularity and its producers and artists will not be able to meet the demand for innovative products needed to continue attracting Asian audiences. Indeed, some argue that its popularity is already fading and it no longer interests Asian fans as much. Some criticize the quality of Korean popular culture, which spreads only as a replacement for the products of Japanese popular culture. However, many people point out that the values and sentiments they see in Korean soap operas are more acceptable than Western culture because they derive from Confucianism and are the real sentiments of real Asian lives. Moreover, people also point out the importance of "family values" and social relationships.
The circulation of popular culture in Asia is becoming much more active. Having started with Japanese popular culture and Hong Kong popular culture, many Asian teenagers now favor Korean popular culture. Some people argue that the Korean Wave is slowly fading away, and it no longer interests Asians much; however, others show that Korean popular culture has its own distinctive character. The Korean Wave has been an ongoing issue in Asia for ten years. To some Asians, it is not fascinating, or a new topic of interest, but it remains a very important element in intraregional circulation and thus has become part of the cultural makeup of the Asian pop cultural landscape.
In an era where the media highly sophisticated and the people's memories are short, when will we welcome a new wave? Which country will dominate the next popularity? Only time will tell.
I used to be addicted to Korean and Japanese TV very much. Now I think they are just a fashion and they will fade sooner or later. Maybe next time, I will be attracted to another.

However, no matter which culture is in vogue now, we should be selective and choose the good one to learn. Moreover, with one of the longest history of the world, I think Chinese culture is really broad and profound and worth our deep studying.
Every girl is holding a romantic dream in their inner space. The Korean soap opereas satisfied girls a lot. The scenery is beautiful, the story moves in zigzags, the actors and actoress are attractive. The perfect world in the drama is just like a dream. No matter it is just a fade or not, in our teenage times, it is one unforgettable part that nothing can replace.
