I remember an old saying“A real artist equal to his works plus his whole life.” A real artist is the one who pays all of his attention even his life to his works. As long as he can create arts, he would forget all the sorrow, discriminations as well as sufferings.
Van Gogh is such a real artist in my heart. In his short life, he had encountered so much misfortune, including extremely poverty and severe mental illness. He had been betrayed by his friends and regarded as a madman and even his love, painting, brought him endless sadness and shame----he only sold out one picture in his whole life. However, he had never lost passion. From each of his picture, you can find his strong love as well as compassion upon life.
Second picture is one of his most famous pictures---sunflowers. He created this picture when he arrived in Arles. Arles is a small French city which owns the biggest and brightest sun over the world. Van Gogh couldn’t help drawing pieces of sunflowers using his favorite color---the color of sun---yellow to express the extreme excitement from the bottom of his heart. Although some sunflowers have already faded, good vitality can still be found from the picture. Seeing these fourteen sunflowers, I am always feeling exceedingly excited and energetic. Despite all the sufferings Van Gogh had come across, only his incomparable enthusiasm towards sun, towards brightness, towards life is worth our respect.
In the first picture, there is a small crowded room and under the dim lamp five family members are sharing a plate of potatoes. Though they are poor, they seem united and satisfied. Seeing this picture, I am touched deeply. Van Gogh held a special love towards the poor and he had drawn many pictures for them. He showed his compassion about them and at the same time he also admired their simple sentiments as well as their kindness. In fact, Van Gogh himself was a poor man, however, he was so great that he cared about others much more than caring about himself.
If you want yourself to get closer to a great heart, why not have a look at Van Gogh’s pictures? Seeing his wonderful works, you will get shocks from not only crazy colors but also his love towards life and compassion on human beings. I bet you will find a real king in his magic, exciting, splendid picture empire.
you said Van Gogh is the artist you like best. though i can not understand clearly what he is writing, i am also impressed by his insistent.
ReplyDeletemaybe he should not live in that era
Van Gogh is symbol which contains too much meaning. Maybe there was no other choice that was better than death.
