On Old People Living in the Nursing Home

Nowadays more and more elderly are sending to live in nursing home. Some people have the opinion that nursing home can take better care of the elderly than their own homes so they chose to let their old parents to live in the nursing home.
To most Chinese, let the elderly to live in the nursing home sounds ungrateful. They believe that the elderly will feel unhappy if they do that. And elderly will feel lonely if they cannot see their child often.
But I think the advantages are more than the disadvantages to send the elderly to live in nursing home.
Firstly, the nursing home can provide the elderly with the first-rate facilities and services, which the family cannot give them. Nowadays working couple are they need to make more money under more pressure. They have to pay more time on work to make more money to afford their running expense. As a result, working couple have less time to care for old people especially when the elderly suffer from serious disease. And if the elderly are at the nursing home, the nurse there can give the elderly the better care and give the elderly first-aid as soon as possible. Secondly, in nursing home the old people can meet people that are in the similar age group. And they can do a deal of things together such as morning exercise, playing games. Young people often have different lifestyle, and the elderly and the young people may feel they are in interaction. So if the elderly live in the nursing home can let both elderly and their adult children get more freedom.
In conclusion, let elderly people living in nursing home are not only good for the adult children but also for old people. However, it does not mean children will give up the duty to care their parents.
