My attitude on clone

The birth of Dolly marked a meaningful scientific breakthrough-clone. Inevitably, clone caused a controversy and there is no doubt that clone is a double-edged sword, but is there more merits or drawbacks in clone? I think that the answer should lie in the way people use it.

Almost everything itself is neutral. We cannot say it is right or wrong, but things begin to change when people use them. The purpose the user has determines the result. As we can see, clone can help survive the endanger species and can help infertile couples to have a long-expected baby. It can provide organs to transplant without the care of self-resist. However many problems will arise when you think from the bioethics perspective. Someone even points out that the person who is produced through clone may be plagued by the bias of the public the whole life.

In my opinion, clone is a high-level technical and need to develop further. So we should be careful when we use it and be patient enough to wait the technical to be more perfect. Apart from that the government should take some action to ensure benefits and guard against the potential harm

  1. From my point of view, clone can be very useful in the future. We can clone the organ to treat the patients. We can deal with the rare disease by cloning. At the same time, we should prevent the abusing of cloning. After all, it invloves some issues about bioethics.
