Foreword: This is my last blog in the Group 7 SM3 Batch 18 (2010)'s Blog, which means this very blog would never have another post of mine for my whole life. As my last farewell, It is really a tragedy that I have to write something about divorce. After looking back the past 6 months, however, we may find out that our bridging course is like a marriage to some extent, and the end of this bridging course of course means a divorce. The prose below is written to memorize this marriage. Divorce is not always a tragedy. Sometimes it can make us all have a better and complete memory of the marriage, or make the marriage more precious.
Two streams flowed alone, along their separate ways, smoothly and quietly.
They never knew each other, or dreamt about knowing each other.
Somewhere unknown, out in the jungle, these two streams happened to join together, at certain point.
Unexpected, their paths were no longer parallel.
Like two different strangers meet in the street, they might experience awkwardness,
as well as instant inspiration and blush.
They again flowed trippingly, like time did,
making passing moments become eternal.
By the riverside, they had both the warm welcome of sunflowers and grasses,
and the test of stormy nights.
However, they flowed happily all the way, although not so smoothly,
warming each other in the winter when the river were frozen;
singing together delightfully in the spring when the ice melt and the grasses turned light green.
"Mr. and Mrs. Stream never ever meets by accident." They always said so proudly.
Although they didn't know the reason at first, or even stupid ones put it down on destiny,
they finally found out the poof of his words.
"Mr. Stream and Mrs. Stream met because they have the same destination- the ocean."
The Go-Between turned out to be the ocean far away.
One day, Mr. and Mrs. Stream came to the plain.
Suddenly, a huge black stone came into their sight.
Without any chance to dodge, they both hit right against the rough rock,
with the breakers sending up a fountain of spray.
On the journey through the waves,
a small continent with the landmark of "Queensway East Terminal" (QET),
lies in the middle of the river,
breaking it into two branches, rudely and ruthlessly.
Finally, the main river were split into two separate streams again.
Finally, Mr. and Mrs. Stream got divorced.
We may never know if Mr. and Mrs. Stream still head for the same destination- the ocean,
or if they will meet somewhere unknown one day.
But we do know they once fight together during stormy nights and freezing winters,
just for the same faith deep in their heart;
We do cherish the beautiful memories Mr. and Mrs. Stream had together.
