War

“War” has been under the heat discussion for hundreds of years. It is known to all that wars have caused uncountable people died, billions of buildings ruined and even our environment has been damaged badly due to wars. Whenever asked about the war, we always show our disgust and fear at once. Everybody seems like a firm anti-war fighter. However, why war has never stopped since human beings came into existence?

One reason for starting a war is greediness. Most of the wars are out of it. Greediness is one of the inherent personalities of human beings. In ancient times, people fought with the natural or other tribes for food or land to survive. However, in the modern times when living is not a difficult problem anymore, wars still exist. The reason is that people want more profits from others and kinds of temptations drive people to fight. As time goes on, living standard will be improved by the high technology. However, temptation will also accompany the development and cannot be eliminated.

Another reason is the feeling of fulfillment the war brings. If one person fights with another and wins finally, he will be quite happy definitely. In fact, almost everyone enjoys proving himself and wants others to listen to him. In World War II, German and Japanese started global war because they wanted to rule the world. Through the war, they tried to force weak countries to compromise to them and gain a feeling that they were the strongest race in the world.

Wars are not always started by the strong. Even the weak may start the war. Everyone has the sense of self-protect. If this sense is hurt by others, people will fight for it regardless of the fact that they may fail finally. In the movie , when indigenous people’s tree of soul is going to be ruined, they decide to fight against human beings who are equipped with planes, robots and bombs. This kind of war is “defensive war”

In conclusion, wars take place because of human being’ greediness, the pursuit of the feeling of fulfillment gained from the war and the sense of self-protect. However, how to prevent the war from erupting again? The solution hasn’t been found yet since all the reasons are involved with human beings’ natural instincts. Maybe there is no solution at all.
