Women in Grimm's Fairy Tales

Every girl wants to be a princess, especially the princess in Grimm’s Fairy Tale. As we all know, they are ever so beautiful, extremely kind-hearted, thus more like angles than humans. To be honest, if I were a prince, I would be bored with the stereotype of a so-called prefect princess wife. In short, they are not realistic or attractive in a modern era.
Why are all the princesses so beautiful in Grimm's fairy tales? What’s more, their small army of enemies, such as their jealous sisters and villainous stepmothers, usually are ordinary or even ugly. It is certainly bad news to billions of ordinary-looking girls in the world. While the beauties are white as snow, the ugly is evil and hideous. So, what can we do if we are not beautiful? Step into cosmetics stores and purchase their beauty products, or to stand out bravely and proclaim, “Yes, I am ugly but I am kind!” Unfortunately, it seems that a majority of the girls would not hesitate to choose the former. However, they forget that the Brothers Grimm were only two commoners living in the 18th Century; what the two old men thought were neither the noble opinion at that time nor the thoughts of current pretty boys. Maybe a bucket of ice water is needed to wake these girls up from their unrealistic dreams and rescue them from the misunderstanding of judging people by their appearances.
Unfortunately, the little beauties in Grimm’s Fairy Tales are always naive. From Snow White to Cinderella, all the beautiful ladies are gullible. They believe everything people tell them and their gullibility lands them in hot soup every time without fail. How can they be cheated by the analogous fables without realization time and time again? It sound like that they are not normal women! However, this fallacy is widely believed by girls all over the world. In order to be a graceful princess, they must be, forgive me for saying so, silly! It is sad to see so many girls jump into Brothers Grimm’s trap with dream in their minds and smiles on their faces. Wake up, smarts! Remove the scales from your eyes, distinguish the truth from the fake and become clever modern ladies.
What’s worst, princesses are often portrayed as damsels in distress waiting for their knights in shining armors to rescue them. When they are being treated unfairly, wait and their knights in shining armors will come to rescue them; when they are being cheated, wait and their knights in shining armors will come to save them; when they are being harmed, wait and their knights in shining armors will come to save them for the third time! As long as they are princess with beauty and kindness, bear the miseries in life, wait with patience, finally the knights in shining armors(of course they are princes)will come and voila, the prince and princess will live happily ever after. But what if the prince does not come? What if the prince is also evil? Please be realistic, modern girls, fight for your rights, go for your dreams, this is what a lovely girl should do!
Fairy tales only exist in the fictitious world. If we do as what the fairy tales say, it is certain we will gain nothing. So smart girls, do not be cheated by what the fairy tales say, especially when the stories were written by two rigid German men.
