If high intelligent robots are available

Many children may have had such a dream----having a high intelligent robot which can help them to do the homework and play with them when they are lonely. As the technology develops at an extremely fast speed, there is no doubt that their dream can come true soon. However, have you ever thought about what the world would be when high intelligent robots are available? Have you prepared well for their coming?

Positively speaking, our life will be much more convenient. Though nowadays many robots with ability to communicate with people using simple words have been invented, it is obvious that they are far away from people’s expectation. For example, a kind of robot which can help the old with their daily life has been invented. When the old say “water”, it will walk to the drinking machine, collect a cup of water and take it to the old people. However, if the old are too thirsty to say a world, it will never do them a favor automatically. Things will be different when high intelligent robots are available, who have the ability to learn from the daily experience. They will be able to understand what people want only according to their postures or even expressions. People’s life is sure to be much easier thanks to high intelligent robots.

Moreover, people could get rid of some bad emotions such as sadness and loneliness. Nowadays, due to various reasons, people are lonelier. Frank communications are fewer and fewer between human beings, which even lead to many mental diseases. However, if high intelligent robots are available, they can act as sincere listeners and share all the unhappiness with their owners. However, how sad the world will be when everyone has to depend on a robot to communicate.

Nevertheless, it is not always a good thing that robots have high intelligence. This worry can be found in many science fiction movies in which high intelligent robots want to control the world and cause many tragedies. Though this kind of thing may not happen, it is no wonder that morality and ethics will change a lot due to the existence of high intelligent robots. For example, if a person mistreats his robot, does robot have the right to charge its owner?

In conclusion, high intelligent robots can bring us many benefits but may also cause great disaster. In my opinion, what we should do is embrace their coming and take utmost precaution to deal with the problems in the future.
